***** UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE mandag 10/19/09 *****
<Personal Update fra Damian>
Både du og jeg ved, hvor vigtig din familie kan være (hvem de er i dit liv), og den anden aften jeg betroede i dig (som min betroede ven) om min bedstefar, der gik bevidstløs fredag og blev hastet til intensiv pleje.
Jeg havde ikke nævnt, at hans Priest også havde hastet til hospitalet for at give ham de sidste ritualer, det er sådan meget alvorligt det var på dette punkt. I virkeligheden var han helt blå, og vi virkelig mente det var det.
Her er, hvad det skyldes, at de ved et uheld gav ham for meget hjerte imaging farvestof, som begyndte at oversvømme hans lunger. Min farmor var i rummet og faktisk var nødt til at løbe ud for at få sygeplejerskerne, derefter 7 sygeplejersker og medarbejdere løb ind og hjul ham ekstremt hurtig på den anden side af hospitalet.
Hans hjerte var væddeløb med en ekstrem hastighed, forårsaget af en reaktion på denne farve, da vi fandt ud af senere, såvel som han ikke kunne trække vejret. Han måtte blive chokeret med en defribrillator samt gives ilt ...
Vidste du, når du har omstændigheder, som helt deflatering af dig og give dig lyst til blot at krølle op og græde, at der stadig er håb?
Nå det er sådan jeg følte på fredag-helt sårbar, hjælpeløs, og meget trist. Jeg skrev e-mail nedenfor for at nå ud og ved du hvad - du virkelig hjulpet mig. Hvorfor? Nå, da jeg lå der på sofaen med min computer - meget trist efter allerede at græde, og med en stor hovedpine-Jeg blev bare ved at trykke refresh.Why? Så mange bønner og kommentarer kom ind!
Jeg har bare holdt læse dem. Så e-mails begyndte at komme ind alle 250 + beskeder hidtil (næsten 1.000 mennesker har åbnet min første mail og læse den, og jeg er sikker mange flere bad for og ønsker os vel!) ...
Jeg tror på bønnens magt og enighed fra betroede venner. Jeg ved, jeg har et ansvar for at hjælpe folk (som vi alle gør), og hvad jeg troede på det tidspunkt er, at, hvis han går, den måde at ære ham er at få alvorligt med at hjælpe så mange mennesker som muligt gennem forholdet vi har-opmuntring, vejledning og forståelse.
Det betyder ikke altid bare at være bløde, betyder det, at fortælle dig, hvad der virker, hvad du skal gøre, og stå ved dig på din rejse, indtil du får der-for os alle vokser sammen og hjælpe hinanden ...
Godt kender du hvad? Han gjorde det gennem denne nat. Lørdag morgen, var han stadig bevidstløs , Og de besluttede at prøve og tage ham væk fra ventilatoren for at se, om han kunne trække vejret. Ved du hvad? Han gjorde! Så alle sad bare rundt i rummet og omkring 1215PM på lørdag, vi har hørt denne stemme som "hvad skete der?"
Vi var ligesom - "du er på hospitalet - du laver god du er gonna være ok" - og så kan vi bare alle begyndte at tale. Han var virkelig svag havde ikke spist i 2 + dage og bare have en IV. Men han faktisk startede spøg lidt rundt i den næste time, så sagde han var sulten.
I dag - de flyttede ham til et normalt rum! Han har stadig nogle procedurer for Thu og To så hold op bønner og tanker. Men vi har ham tilbage, og det er noget at Treasure.

Fra fredag 10/16/09
Dette er blot en kort meddelelse til så bede eller sende dine gode ønsker til mig i aften. I aften min bedstefar gik ind i det Intensive Care Unit med hjerte-og lungeproblemer, og er ikke concious lige nu.
Han er i Louisiana i aften, og jeg kan have til at hoppe på den første flyvning, der er Tomm aften.
Jeg elsker ham så meget, og jeg håber virkelig han gør det. Da jeg var en lille dreng mine forældre blev skilt, og der ikke for meget. Jeg følte mig temmelig ensom til tider.
Det er her mine bedsteforældre kom ind, jeg var den eneste barnebarn, så det var ligesom mine bedsteforældre var mine forældre eller selv mine bedste venner - gennem nogle ret hårde tider. Jeg var sammen med dem hele tiden - de kogt for mig, tog mig med at købe tøj, tog mig i skole og kirke.
Altid så venlig og ønsker det bedste for mig. Lol min bedstemor ville endda give mig store plader af mad og sige "du ikke spise noget som helst!" (At være italiensk, der var vigtigt at spise en masse!)
Vi er stadig meget tæt, min bedstemor Irene, bedstefar Philip og mig. Min bedstefar bruges til at spille saxofon, og jeg kan huske, da jeg var lille, de ville gå til dans til 50 musik og bare elskede at have en god tid og griner og spøger.
Ingen er perfekt, men de er nogle af de venligste og mest give mennesker du nogensinde vil møde. Så skal du i aften, når du går i seng, sige en bøn, hvis du kan for min bedstefar Philip.

Du er så blød om hjertet ligesom mig. Jeg havde en lignende opvækst kun min far døde da jeg var kun 1 år gammel. Min mor, som er 90 år gammel nu (velsigne hendes sjæl) bor sammen med mig.
Jeg svor, at uanset hvad der sker i mit liv jeg vil altid tage sig af hende, fordi efter min far døde var hun kun 25 y / o med 7 børn og aldrig giftede sig igen kun fordi hun ønskede at tage sig af os.

Du er velsignet med en familie af venner, ikke bare omkring dig, men dem som du har påvirket online.
Vi er alle beder for dig og din bedstefar. Det er altid svært midt i livets prøvelser til at stå fast, selvom resultatet måske være svært at se i øjnene.
Beskæftiger sig med de sundhedsmæssige problemer din bedstefar er, vil jeg bede for det medicinske team behandler ham så godt. Jeg mistede min far juleaften 2004 efter tredobbelt bypass og ventil udskiftning kirurgi. Han havde været opadgående hurtigt de første par dage, men næsten 10 dage efter operationen gik han at være sammen med Herren.
Vid, at alt er i Herrens hænder. Men bøn er stærk, så jeg beder for dig og din familie.

There are plenty skeptics in this world who say that prayers don't work…and I include the good thoughts people have.
Well,weather these things work or not,LOTS of people did,and your grandfather is recovering…Those are facts!
Faith and positive thoughts have helped many people through desperate times….Despair,hopelessness and negativety have done the opposite.Luckily,as Frankl wrote in his diaries,we always have the power to choose!

I know when my mother had her heart attack she went code blue, she was dead 6 minutes, but they pulled her through and the feeling of them being brought back is indescribably.
