One of the “secrets” of opt in marketing is building something larger than life in scope and reach while not killing yourself in the process! You can launch your opt-in email marketing and listbuilding to the next level if you start to think bigger.

Yes, the elite do know some things that up until this point may not have been shared with you, but that is about to change.  Here are some of the best:

* Outline your opt in list: If you have a foundational plan before you even launch the opt in list, it will make life much easier for you. If you know your sequence ahead of time and have some of the communications already written, then you can focus on building the list with traffic techniques rather than spending your time writing.

* Outsource some of your opt in list content: This is also one of the things gurus do often and most average list builders overlook. You have to do a lot of work to set up and maintain a successful list, but you yourself do not have to do all the work. Almost anything you need done on your opt in list can be done by others under your direction. Most of these services can be had for little cost. And in the end, it is worth it because the less you have to work on the content yourself, the more you can again focus on the traffic.

* Setting up a promo or bonus for your opt in list: This is also a very important thing that many people overlook. You should give something to your subscribers to keep their interest and also build trust. Trust is important for an opt in marketing campaign and this is the best way to give something back to them in exchange for signing up. By using this technique your audience will be much more likely to purchase from you when you do launch a product on your list.

* Give your opt in form due attention: It needs to be in an easy to access location.  I recommend putting the first opt in form above everything else on the page (yes even above the first text or banner, in the white space). Also, I like to put multiple opt in forms on the same page. If we’re talking about your blog or another website, it should be very noticeable and should be at the top of the page somewhere people should not have to scroll down to see it. They should see it first thing, and it should draw their eye to it. Big fat arrows pointing to it
