There are several ways you could build interest using opt in marketing to increase responsiveness and buying in your customer base. You can set these messages up before hand, then have that work for you 24/7. This article will cover a few of these, and how you can turn your listbuilding into a profit center. With a little creativity, you can spin these to create many more opportunities for yourself.
Build Trust and Friendship Using Your Opt In List
The first of these and perhaps the most important is the ability to build trust and friendship using only pre-written messages. I know that you will have to anticipate the reader’s response and what they’re feeling and thinking. However, if you know your niche well enough and know what customers within that niche expect, then you should be able to give them what they want.
The first step in building trust on your list as I have said before is to ALWAYS provide your customers with useful and accurate information in your messages. If you do not do this, you will turn off some of your potential customers. This is especially important when you do reviews and communications related to the buying cycle.
You must also give them good contact info and have a good link to your best landing page within EACH message. If the customer reads the message and then wants to learn more, he will have a quick, easy way to follow up on these thoughts.
Provide A Mix of Content and Offers, not Constant Sales Pitches
You must be careful to not always push other people’s product. You can of course do this some as it gives your subscribers variety, which is very important. At the same time, hard selling doesn’t work online or offline.
Provide a Solution to a Problem through Each Step of the Email
You should start slowly and with care at the beginning of an autoresponder sequence. You should give the subscribers a chance to get to know you as well as you them. Sell YOURSELF hard first, that’s the most important point. Give them a problem, one that you can provide the answer to easily. But not right away, you must slowly give them the answer to the problem.
Another thing to make sure of is that the problem is relative to your niche. Most importantly, do not give the customer ALL of the solutions for free, but do give them a taste for free as you proceed so they can see the quality is very good. Let them know that it will be provided for in your product, which of course can be located on the web page that you have provided the link for at the end of each message.

Once you have decided to build an opt in marketing list, there are a few things you should know. Having an opt-in email marketing list means more than just sending your subscribers updates and links to your page. But there are a few things you must also avoid to make sure you do not turn customers away in your listbuilding and marketing efforts.
Some thing you may try to do only add complications to your campaigns and put unnecessary burdens on your customers.
* Take notice of unsuccessful sends: You should be very aware of undeliverable messages and also, notice the success rates and keep repeating success. This happens for several reasons, and you should delete these accounts as soon as you can.
This helps keep a clean list of nothing but real customers whom you have a chance to build a lasting relationship with. You want to keep accurate records of the number of people on your list, so you can easily judge the effectiveness of each message sent.
* Always provide an unsubscribe feature on each list message and also on your page: You do not want your customers to feel trapped by your list in any way. You want them to want to be on it because they feel they are getting use out of the list. Not because they feel they cannot leave. Most autoresponders do this automatically, and it’s also required by law.
Anytime someone unsubscribes from your list, you should send a follow-up email to them right away to find out why they left. This way you can judge what went wrong. This can be the best feedback you can get, so do not overlook this very important step in the process.
People like choices, so as long as they know they always have the option to unsubscribe, they will always feel like they are in control- this is ESSENTIAL!
* Don’t hard sell. Instead, be their advocate and sell yourself first! People buy from people they know, like, and trust, and also like to feel people are on their side. So be their advocate and present a realistic but positive view of things you promote.
This will help your customers build trust in you and you in them. By maintaining a good list of only responsive subscribers, you will be sure that your all your messages reach the intended target audience within your niche. Always keep these factors in mind and strive to provide a clean, easy, and well maintained list for you and your trusted subscribers.

When you really believe in what you’re promoting and match it to solving your clients problems, you can present informative content that is useful to your prospect. In turn, your client base will expand, sales will multiply and your profits explode. This article will show you how.
The first, and I think most important part of any opt in marketing campaign, is to only sell and therefore inform your customers about products and services you personally believe in. Even if you are trying to market the newest, hottest thing, it will come across as less than sincere in the eyes of your subscribers, if you do not believe in it yourself.

The content you provide for your subscribers should only be of the best quality and of the best use within the niche. You need to develop rapport and keep your customers engaged. If you are not planning on doing both of these remember to entertain, engage, and inform.
There’s a lot of things competing for your client’s attention, so make your interactions memorable and fun as well as helpful! This builds relationship too, which is essential.
This applies to one-on-one selling in the off-line world, and it may be even more important in the virtual sales world. So, make sure to care about people and let that come through in all your interactions.

So with this in mind, the common unit of exchange within any opt-in email marketing system is information. This is the new currency of our modern online age. First seek to understand, and provide value, before being understood. If you want to get something from someone, then the best thing you could have to trade is information they wish to possess. That’s a key to opt in marketing.
This leads us to your opt-in list where you are giving the subscribers information that you know they want, otherwise they would not have opted in to start with. In exchange, you are listbuilding and getting something from them that you want, which is a good relationship and a strong buying environment.
Meet and Exceed Expectations in Your Email Marketing Promises
This means that first you must give our subscribers what you promised them. The best thing you can give them at this point is some very useful content within your chosen niche, that solves an immediate problem. This will compel them to give you information in return about themselves and their core motivations for being on your opt-in list to begin with.
In order to have to create great trust and a positive environment, for your audience, you should provide sixty percent good content to forty percent sales material. Any less content than that, and they’ll feel that you are selling instead of communicating
As a respectable businessperson, this is not what you want. The customers must think they are getting the good deal, not us. If they believe they are not getting the good deal, there is a chance you will lose them before you can get them in a long term relationship built on trust.
Providing Value And Receiving the Return

Psychology teaches us about how people interact with your sales page and therefore your opt in list. Web sales in opt in marketing, are based on how we present ourselves and build trust, and more importantly how the customer reacts to what we are showing them. If they view you well and you seek to solve their problems through your offerings, they will respond well!
These following five things are all things that occur under the page design. Things the customer is not even aware of on a conscious level, but they are really more important than what images you choose, how big to make your font, whether to make your headlines red or yellow, or any one of the hundred other choices that go into making a squeeze page for your opt in form.
In any opt-in email marketing campaign, listbuilding effort, and sales page sequence, keep these five things in mind.
* Be aware of your web path: This is the path that leads your customer from one page to the next in the order that leads them ideally to the sale. Web marketing psychology states that if your sales path is too linear, you will scare potential customers off with this tactic.
Instead, you need to give them options. Do not just give them the option of clicking on A which leads them to B which leads them to the sales page, instead let the customer choose between A or B. Then have that lead them to C.
There you can give them the option of either D or E, which then will lead to your sales page. Sometimes what’s great is to have the regular offer, a very compelling offer (eg: 2 for 1 on the same page etc), and a decoy offer- which is unattractive comparitively. This will cause them to choose what you’re directing them to, while giving them the feeling of choice.
This way they will feel as they have made all the decisions and arrived at the sales page because they wanted to, not because you pushed them into it.
* Get smarter with every click: This is aimed again at the customer. With every step they take towards your squeeze page, you should be giving them a little more information, but not too much. You want them to have just enough information that they want to click on the next page until finally the only way to learn the true solution to the problem is to sign up for your opt in form.
* Do not ramble or waste their time: You should always keep your content clear and useful within the niche you have chosen. If you ramble off too much to the side, you might bore the customer or worse yet make them think about something else they want to look at. Remember, attention spans today are short. You should liven things up where possible, with nice graphics, video and audio.
* Stay focused: Stay focused on your niche. Not just during your communications through your opt in list but all throughout your sales path. Make sure they all are related to your niche in a very direct way.
* Sincerity always wins: This is a very important one for me. I believe that honest marketing with an aim to help others, is what makes sales. If you make a promise in your communications or on your pages, deliver on what you promise, and overdeliver where possible. For example if you say a free gift is on offer, make it straightforward to receive it.
At the end of the day, it is all about communication and building trust to create a buying environment. If you follow the path before you, the customers will be yours. Just be sure you provide them with honest, focused and clear content. Lead them down an intelligent path of persuasion with a view to help, and you will find that nothing can stand in your way!
